Odyssey House Texas, Inc. is a private not-for-profit organization established in 1989 to provide treatment and education to youth and families whose lives have been devastated by drugs, alcohol, and abuse. At that time, local families who had lost their children to drugs, alcohol and death identified the need for an effective and affordable program. Odyssey House Texas was founded as a Therapeutic Community committed to providing comprehensive and quality services to achieve lasting changes in the values and behaviors of youth, in order to create healthy lifestyles and healthy families.

  • Ages 13 to 17 years at admission

  • Capacity – 20 Includes Males and Females

  • Length of Stay – 4 to 9 months, based on individual need

  • Location -- Southwest Houston -- approximately five miles south of the 610 Loop

  • Facility -- Housed in a 16,500 sq. ft. building on approx. 5 acres, including a Ropes Course

  • Education -- Provided on-site by an accredited school

  • Licensure -- Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse

  • Professional Membership -- Therapeutic Communities Of America

Odyssey House Texas, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 supported by private donations, grants, and a contract with the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Donations to Odyssey House Texas, Inc. are tax deductible.
