ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must be:

• Adolescents, male or female, 13 to 17 years old at admission. Evaluated with substance dependency as an identified primary problem, to the extent that life functioning are impaired according to the DSM-IV criteria for substance dependency, may include mental illness diagnosis.

• Assessed to be in need of Intensive Residential Treatment according to the Texas Department of Insurance Admission Criteria.

• Willing to voluntarily admit to the program and comply with the program structure, rules, and their individual treatment issues and goals.

The facility is unlocked and free-standing; therefore, the applicant's evaluation will include their individual treatment and safety needs in accordance with the capability of the program.
